Zack Dohm Rides To Rumble On The Ridge Win At Skyline Speedway With Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series

July 26, 2026  ·
  Press Release

After a couple of weeks off, the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP would return to action with the rescheduled 5th Annual Rumble on the Ridge at Skyline Speedway in Stewart, OH and Zack Dohm of Cross Lanes, WV took the lead on lap eighteen and survived one late race caution to claim the $5,000 victory and make him the 12th different winner in 13 series events so far this season.

The 37-year-old Dohm would claim his first series win of the season and his fourth career Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP victory aboard the ZNT Racing owned Longhorn Chassis powered by a Vic Hill Race Engine and carries sponsorship from Dohm Cycles, Tim Short Auto Group, Way Floor Covering, JWMPS, Dohm Farms, and Doggett Rentals.

Freddie Carpenter would take the lead at the start of the Rumble on the Ridge Valvoline A-Main, with Zack Dohm, Eddie Carrier, Jr., Colten Burdette, and Seth Daniels giving chase. The field would settle in early on, with the best battle toward the front being for the third position between Carrier, Jr. and Burdette as they would battle door-to-door for several laps as Carpenter would begin to lap slower traffic on lap nine. Burdette would finally win the battle for the third spot on lap thirteen, while Dohm would reel in Carpenter in lapped traffic and begin to challenge for lead on lap sixteen and Dohm would grab the race lead from Carpenter on lap eighteen, while Burdette would claim the runner-up slot from Carpenter one circuit later on lap nineteen. Corey Conley would pressure Daniels for the fifth position and would get the spot from Daniels on lap twenty. The only caution of the event would wave on lap twenty-three when Chad Roush would spin his machine in turn four. Dohm would control the restart, as he and Burdette would quickly put some distance on the field. Dohm would have to contend with a few lapped cars in the closing laps, however, Burdette could not get a run on Dohm and Dohm would see the checkered flag first, with Burdette, Carpenter, Carrier, Jr. and Conley completing the top five. Chris Carpenter would start 18th and finish sixth, with Miles Cook II, Chris Stotts, Lincoln Smith, and Rob Anderzack completing the top ten finishers.

The next events for the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP will be Friday July 31 at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY for the 19th Annual Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial paying $5,000 to win and Saturday August 1 at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, OH for the 6th Annual Jackie Boggs Kids Night paying $7,500 to win. Both events will be co-sanctioned with the Coltman Farms Racing Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series presented by Slicker Graphics and both events will also be Valvoline Weekend Allstars events.
