Zeth Sabo announced he will be the new pilot for the Rudzik Racing car moving forward after Cale Thomas announced he was stepping away from the team.

Sabo made the announcement in a post to social media, “News travels fast, so I figured it was time to make it official. I’m excited to announce that I’ve accepted the opportunity to drive the 49X sprint car in the ASCoC.”

“First, I want to thank Farmer for everything he’s done for me and the boys this year. I’d also like to thank AJ, Sheldon, and Ryder for all of the hard work you’ve put in both at the shop and at the track. We have put together a great season,” he continued. “A huge thank you goes out to all of my sponsors as well. Your continued support makes opportunities like this possible, and I’m incredibly grateful to have you in my corner.”

Finally, he concluded, “I’m looking forward to this next chapter of my racing career with Kevin and the entire 49X team. I’m excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to get to work. See you all at the track!”

Rudzik Racing also affirmed Sabo’s announcement writing in their own post to social media, “It’s official! We’re excited to announce that Zeth “Howdy” Sabo is joining the Rudzik Racing team!”

The team added, “We can’t wait to get to work and see what we can accomplish together. Welcome aboard, Zeth!”

Sabo has two wins on the year, 8 top 5s and 13 top 10s. His two wins came at Sharon Speedway on June 13th and at Wayne County Speedway on June 20th. He is currently 10th in the All Star Circuit of Champions and had been competing with Rich Farmer Racing. He has 2 wins, 4 top 5s, and 5 top 10s in 6 features with the All Star Circuit of Champions this year.

As noted above, Sabo’s announcement comes in the wake of Thomas announcing he was stepping away from the team. He shared to social media on July 15th, “I have decided to step away from the Rudzik Racing 49X team.”

“I can’t thank the Rudzik team and family enough for the opportunity, support, and memories made along the way,” he continued. “I truly appreciate everything they have done for me. A huge thank you to all my fans and supporters.”

As for what his plans are moving forward, he wrote, “No plans at the moment, looking forward to future opportunities.”
