The American Late Model Iron-Man Series announced that it’s planned 2nd Annual Stephen Wagner Memorial race at Attica Raceway Park has been canceled due to the threat of heavy rain.
The series announced in a post to social media, “Due to the threat of incoming heavy rain this afternoon and showers moving in sooner than expected this evening, tonight’s 2nd Annual Stephen Wagner Memorial at Attica Raceway Park for the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled in 2026.”
The race was expected to pay $15,049. The All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars was also on the card with a $7,850 to-win race.

Due to a recent and drastic change in tonight’s forecast, Attica Raceway Park and ASCOC officials have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s Attica Ambush. Attica Raceway Park, we’ll see you in 2027!!”
Attica Raceway Park also shared its own announcement, “Unfortunately Mother Nature isn’t going cooperate with us today. The Attica Ambush and Stephen Wagner Memorial have been cancelled and will not be made up in 2026. We’ll see you all next Friday for season championship night.”
The American Late Model Iron-Man Series will look ahead to Saturday, September 5th for their next race at Montpelier Speedway in Montpelier, Indiana for a 30-lap, $5,000 to-win race. Joining the Late Models on the car are the DIRTcar Modifieds and the Super Stocks.
After Saturday at Montpelier, the series heads to Eldora Speedway for the 18th Annual Baltes Classic presented by Coors Light on Sunday, September 6th. The race will kick off the World 100 week with the Super Late Model field being split in half to compete in two 25-lap, $5,000 to-win races. Ricky Thornton Jr. and Kyle Bronson won the races last year. Thornton went on to win the World 100.
DIRTcar Modifieds and Super Stocks will be on the car at Eldora Speedway alongside the Late Models.
Colten Burdette currently leads the American Late Model Iron-Man Series points standings. He has a 98 point advantage over second place Rod Conley. Miles Cook II sits in third place. He has a 218 point deficit. Seth Daniels is fourth. He is 229 points back. Travis Carr is fifth. He is 353 points behind Burdette.
