Cale Thomas announced he will no longer compete in the Rudzik Racing 49X team moving forward.

Thomas shared the announcement to social media where he stated, “I have decided to step away from the Rudzik Racing 49X team.”

“I can’t thank the Rudzik team and family enough for the opportunity, support, and memories made along the way,” he continued. “I truly appreciate everything they have done for me. A huge thank you to all my fans and supporters.”

As for what his plans are moving forward, he wrote, “No plans at the moment, looking forward to future opportunities.”

The Rudzik Racing team also noted Thomas’ departure, but shared its intention to fulfill its commitment to compete with the All Star Circuit of Champions series.

The team posted to social media, “Cale Thomas has decided to step away from the Rudzik Racing 49x. Our plans are to fulfill our commitments with the All Star Circuit of Champions for the remainder of the season. We wish Cale all the best in his future endeavors.”

Thomas’ announcement came following competition at Fremont Speedway with the High Limit Racing series where he and the team finished 13th in a C-Main. Thomas did get two wins with the team earlier in the year. He won at Attica Raceway Park on April 17th and followed that up with a win at Fremont on April 25th.

Thomas was also second in the All Star Circuit of Champions points standings just 34 points behind current leader Kalib Henry. He has 2 Top 5s and 5 Top 10s in 11 features this year.

Thomas had rejoined Rudznik in June of last year and led the team to the All Star Circuit of Champions owner title while he finished second in points behind Henry. As part of that owners title, the team was able to get a win at Michaels Mercer Raceway for the Bud Miller Tribute race at the end of June. Thomas had 1 win, 12 top 5s and 18 top 10s in 23 features with the All Stars last year.
