Kaulig Trucks announced that Carson Ferguson will return to compete for the team in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series when they head to Nashville Super Speedway this weekend.
The team posted on social media, “He fought every lap at Bristol and earned himself another start! Carson Ferguson is back in the saddle at Nashville Super Speedway!”

Ferguson ran with the team back in April at Bristol. He qualified 29th and ran 21st. Ferguson secured the ride as part of the Ram Free Agent Program after finishing second to CARS Tour veteran Mini Tyrell in the reality TV series “Race for the Seat.” He was originally supposed to race with the team at Martinsville in October, but got the chance earlier at Bristol due to his performance in the reality show.
Kaulig Racing CEO Chris Rice explained at the time, “Carson proved he has the talent and drive to step up to this level. We told him during the show that he would have a chance to drive at Martinsville Speedway this year, but the more we thought about it, the more we wanted to see his talent on the track, so we moved him up to Bristol instead. We hope this leads to great things for Carson.”
Ferguson relished the opportunity sharing in a press release, “I am a dirt racer who always watched NASCAR on television and dreamed of this opportunity. Bristol was a dream come true. I learned so much at that amazing place, and it was a blast.”
He hopes to add to those learnings at Nashville, “Nashville Superspeedway is almost three times as big as Bristol, so it’s another huge learning curve, but I’ll give it everything I’ve got. It’s an honor to get back in the No. 25 Ram 1500.”
Like the Bristol race, this race at Nashville Superspeedway will not interfere with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series schedule. The race takes place this Friday, May 29th, and the Lucas Oil series is in an off week after their first crown jewel race of the year with the Show-Me 100 this past weekend.
Ferguson is currently 12th in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. He’s 830 points behind current leader Hudson O’Neal. His 12th place in points locks him into the first annual Shale Crescent Dirt Cup at Muskingum County Speedway on June 10th that will pit the 12 best Lucas Oil drivers against the 12 best World of Outlaws Late Model drivers. He secured that 12th position with 14th, 15th, and 10th place finishes during the Show-Me 100 weekend.
