Eldora Speedway announced that Dallon Murty won the Coltman Elite Double Crown for being the top performing rookie at this past weekend’s 32nd Annual Dirt Late Model Dream.

Murty Dream weekend started off very strong with a 5th place qualifying run in Group B. He then went on to win heat 3. He started the preliminary feature in 6th, but unfortunately fell back for a 17th place finish.

On Saturday, Murty started 4th in the sixth heat race and finished 5th, 2 spots out of a transfer position into the 100-lap feature. That put him in 5 the starting position in the second B-Main. He advanced one position to finish in fourth, but needed one more spot to advance.

Nevertheless, his performance earned him an extra $3,000 as the top performing rookie and the winner of the Coltman Elite Double Crown.

The Coltman Elite Double Crown was announced ahead of the Dream by Eldora Speedway where the track shared that it teamed with Brett Coltman and Coltman Farms Racing to award the top 12 performing rookies based on their Saturday performances.

Eldora Speedway General Manager Levi Jones said, “We’re proud to partner with Brett Coltman and Coltman Farms Racing on a program that directly gives back to the competitors who make Eldora’s biggest events so special. This partnership is about more than visibility. It is about investing in teams, rewarding new faces, and creating another meaningful honor for drivers chasing success at Eldora.”

The Coltman Elite Double Crown will return for the World 100 in September at Eldora Speedway as well. Additionally, owner Brett Coltman announced a Rolex award for the driver with the best performance between the Dream and the World 100. And this one will be autographed on the back with Eldora and hopefully an endless timepiece, start of a legacy.”
