Devin Moran announced that his Double Down Motorsports team and Spire Motorsports have come to an agreement to have him pilot the No. 77 car, that has been driven by Carson Hocevar this year, during the Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury Speedway.
Moran made the announcement on Facebook, “Parking the 99 for the weekend and climbing behind the wheel of the ๐๐ at Fairbury!
”
“Huge thanks to Spire Motorsports for the opportunity,” he added. “Time to see just how fast we can get this chili around the racetrack. ![]()
. Also, a massive thank you to Roger and my crew for being on board for this whole thing.”
Moran concluded, “Youโll see the 99 back next week
“
Spire Motorsports added, “Added the Mailman to this weekend’s roster. Devin Moran will pilot our No. 77 Chili’s Grill & Bar Late Model at the World of Outlaws Late Model Series Prairie Dirt Classic.”
Moran is not the only one not racing in his typical ride during the Prairie Dirt Classic. Garrett Alberson announced last night that he was competing in the Doug Curless owned No. 99. He wrote on Facebook, “While our team works diligently to prep Frost and Fury for the North South 100, Garrett will be piloting the Doug Curless owned #99 at Fairbury American Legion Speedway for the FloRacing night tonight and the Prairie Dirt Classic this weekend! Keep an eye out for him!”
Hudson O’Neal is also not in his No. 71 SSI Motorsports car. Instead, as he has done on a handful of occasions already this year, he’s in the No. 6 K&L Rumley Enterprises car.
