A day after Nick Hoffman suffered hauler problems heading to the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series race at Farmer City, Gordy Gundaker shared that his toter broke down heading to Fairbury.

In a post to Facebook, Gundaker shared, “We had em racked, we had em stacked, and we had traffic backed… up. WE. ARE. BROKE DOWN!”

He added, “Luckily we had a guy stop by in with a dump truck. (Turns out he’s a race fan!) We hooked a chain to Big Bird and towed her back to the shop! We’ll get her fixed up and head out tomorrow to Fairbury!”

“Tim Light with JML Hauling Inc! If you’re in the St. Charles area and need rock, sand or anything else hauled,” he concluded. “Give him a call! 636-262-0892.”

As noted above, this comes just a day after Hoffman shared that he had issues with his hauler. Hoffman initially shared, “Help needed. Truck is broke down. Will not go into gear. Have a F on the dash and service light on the shifter. It is a 2016 kenworth W900 with an Eaton Transmission. We are currently at the Pilot Truck stop in Lincoln Illinois. I have tried basically all the mobile truck repair shops nearby with no luck getting someone to come out to help. If anyone knows someone with a computer or could help us diagnose or fix the issue please reach out.”

He later shared a positive update, “We found the issue. We were able to make it to the racetrack and to the pit gate. Had to get pulled into the pits from there. It’s not going to be a quick fix. Thanks to everyone that reached out. I really appreciate it.”

On X, Hoffman added, “What a [crap] ass day. Truck broke down. Had a ton of help from the racing community. Thanks everyone it’s greatly appreciated. Made it to the pit gate and broke down again. Had to get pulled to my spot. Petroff towing came and got my toter. C&W trucking brought me their toter to finish the weekend. Rains off and on all day. Qualified bad. Not sure why other than I sucked. Get the green in the heat and go 5th to 3rd in first corner and it rains. Racing is fun.”

While tonight’s race at Farmer City Raceway got rained out, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series is planning to race at Fairbury for the FALS Spring Shootout with $30,000 on the line for the winner.
