Dixon announced in a post to Facebook, “A weekend coming up you don’t wanna miss out on. New driver this weekend, for the 99, Jimmy Owens behind the wheel.”
Owens and the team will compete at Willard Speedway tonight, July 2nd, Hidden Hollow Speedway on Friday, July 3, and then 201 Speedway on Saturday night, July 4th.
Owens and his team added in their own post, “Jimmy Owens will jump behind the wheel of Andrew Dixon’s #99 machine over the Independence Day holiday weekend to compete in a trio of Crate Late Model shows in the Bluegrass State! Weather pending, Jimmy will be in action at Willard Speedway on July 2, Hidden Hollow Speedway on July 3, and 201 Speedway on July 4.”
“If you’re in the area, get out to the track this weekend to root Jimmy on and to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday. The souvenir trailer will be on hand all three nights, so be sure to grab the latest in Nightmare wear as well,” the team concluded.
The race at Willard Raceway is sanctioned by the American All-Star Series Pro Late Models and will pay $3,000 to-win. Additionally, the track will also have Sport Mods, Modifieds, 4 Cylinders, Crown Vics, Juice Box, and Mini All-Stars on the docket.
