Jonathan Davenport and his team announced that he’ll take on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Nebraska this upcoming weekend.

The team shared on Facebook, “On the heels of a ‘Bad Boy 98’ sweep at Batesville Motor Speedway, Jonathan Davenport and Double L Motorsports are set to invade Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Nebraska from May 14-16 for the ‘Malvern Bank High Bank Heist.’”

“A pair of $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series prelim shows on Thursday and Friday will help set the stage for Saturday’s grand finale, which shells out a $50,000 payday.”

As the team noted, Davenport is coming off a sweep of the Bad Boy 98 at Batesville Motor Speedway where he pocketed $5,000 on the prelim night and another $12,000 for Saturday’s feature. Given he was able to sweep the weekend, he claimed the $10,000 win bonus that was put up by Mark Martin Automotive bringing his total winnings for the weekend to $27,000.

The two wins bring Davenport’s win total to 9 for the year in just 28 features, an astounding 32% win percentage. His other wins came against the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Golden Isles Speedway where he won three races at the track from March 4th through March 6th. He also got two wins at Lucas Oil Speedway on April 10th and 11th for the 13th Annual MLRA Spring Nationals. He then went to Volunteer Speedway and took home two wins during the Gauntlet at the Gap first on April 14th and then on the Saturday finale on April 18th. That April 18th win allowed him to pocket the Gauntlet’s $100,000 bonus for winning both the feature and one of the races earlier in the week.

Davenport’s victories have allowed him to collect $220,500 in winnings for the year.

After Eagle Raceway, Davenport plans to continue to compete with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. He’ll follow the tour to Wheatland, Missouri and Lucas Oil Speedway for the Show-Me 100. Then he’ll compete with the FloRacing Night in America Series at Eldora before attempting to capture his fifth Dirt Late Model Dream victory at The Big E.
