A terminal weather forecast has led to the cancellation of the FloRacing Night in America event scheduled for Tuesday, September 15 at La Salle (Ill.) Speedway
“Tony (Izzo Jr.) and I have been monitoring the forecast for the past week, and it continues to deteriorate for Tuesday with rain chances in the evening up to 90% with heavy rainfall likely. As a result, we’ve mutually agreed to go ahead and cancel Tuesday’s event at La Salle Speedway,” said FloRacing Night in America General Manager, Ben Shelton. “We went ahead and made this decision to allow fans and racers advanced time to adjust their travel for the week. It just seemed the cards were stacked against us for this week. We look forward to returning to La Salle Speedway in May 2027 to kick off the Illinois Speedweek.”
Anyone, who pre-purchased tickets for the event online will be fully refunded to their method of payment.
FloRacing Night in America now turns its attention to Lincoln Park Speedway (Putnamville, Indiana) for its first ever visit to the Tommie Estes promoted oval on Wednesday, September 23.
The program will feature the $20,000-to-win / $1,000-to-start Riddell National Bank 50, which marks the richest Super Late Model event in the history of the facility, which originally opened in 1969.
The Indiana Super Stocks will share the night’s spotlight.
On Wednesday, September 23 at the pit gate opens at 4 p.m. ET, while the general admission grandstand gate opens at 5 p.m. The driver’s meeting is at 5:30 p.m. with hot laps at 6 p.m. with racing action to follow.
